Gallery Chryssothemis invites you to the solo painting exhibition
of Lenia Xrysikopoulou
«Invisible creatures»
Opening day: Friday 6 March 2026, 18:00-22:00
Open to the public until Saturday the 28th of March 2026
The artist writes about her work:
In this series of works, the exploration of the human form is depicted, suspended between instinct and consciousness. The figures that dominate the canvas seem to emerge from subconscious, dreamlike atmospheres, where the laws of nature are altered and the perception of reality is transformed. Raw materials beyond embellishment, bodies pulsate feverishly and shed the visible body, descending into the inner landscape of memory.
The invisible creatures refer to the hidden impulses and the vulnerable cores we carry within us — those parts of ourselves that remain constantly slightly beyond our reach. They cannot be spoken of easily, yet they persist beneath the rigid surface of language and imposed social form. They inhabit the unredeemed tension of desire, touching what remains unspoken.
