The painter notes about his work:
As a continuation of my previous solo exhibition at the Chryssothemis Gallery in 2023, titled “FACES in TIME”, where I presented portraits of poets, writers, painters, and intellectuals whose spirit has shaped our cultural landscape, the time has come to move forward.
I now turn my attention to figures from history, politics, and society who have played a PIVOTAL and DEFINING role in my life and consciousness!
Parallel to the events and circumstances we are witnessing in our era, so turbulent, fraught, complex, and deeply troubled, I find myself confronting an unimaginable reality. In the eighth decade of my life, I never imagined I would bear witness to such catastrophic deterioration of our country and, indeed, the world entire! FASCISM - GENOCIDE - ATROCITIES - CLIMATE CRISIS...
This “dialogue” with these historical personalities offers solace and “healing” on many different levels...
