The artist notes:
Pandemic days and the dance of death surrounds me. On the internet, Bellucci uploads pictures of her which I steal like the mischievous child who steals candy from his mother's jar and paint them.
The Virgin who tramples death. The words of my elders are companionship, an inner journey with a flashlight in the dark, yet orthodoxy keeps me alive. Sad, difficult and dangerous years. Heavenly presences. What we love, we love it even when we die.
